This is a 1.5 mile long pedestrian walkway stretching along the town of Winthrop beachfront.

The project included a beachfront replenishment operation to restore eroded sand which impacted the structural integrity of the existing seawall.  The pedestrian walkway design included widening of sidewalks, new seating areas and paving, historic markers, proposed lighting and site furnishings.

The design team worked closely with the MDC (Massachusetts District Commission) and the Citizens Advisory Committee on this project.
